Heliexperiences are offering Riding enthusiasts and South Australian Locals, a number of different ways to watch and follow the Tour Down Under cycling race this January – Even better you don’t have to be based in Adelaide to join in the fun, and take a once in a lifetime over-head view of some of the World’s greatest riders.
This year’s race route includes some of South Australia’s best known regions, both close to and away from Adelaide, and as a result our helicopters will be based at key strategic locations throughout the course.
Simply, our helicopters will operate from each key location before the peloton arrives and after they leave therefore allowing as many passengers as possible the view of riders from above, close to the destination.
Once the group has ridden through each location, our choppers fly ahead to the next landing spot and commence their flights again. As a result on each stage you will find different operating locations (bases), and different flights available to suit the course of the day over many different areas in South Australia.
